News of BIOFACH CHINA
· Organic nation Denmark presenting itself at trade fair and congress
· More new features as part of the concept
Project Director Tracy Feng from NürnbergMesse China goes on to reveal: “After over ten years, BIOFACH CHINA has become a permanent fixture in the international organic trade fair calendar. Now, we would like to develop the event even more into a colourful lifestyle platform. For this reason, this time, the trade visitors can expect among others new award presentations, competitions as well as an organic restaurant at the heart of the trade fair activities.”
Her personal highlight of 2017 however is the first Country of the Year, Denmark, Feng went on to say. “The Danish agriculture ministry Danish Agriculture & Food Council will be presenting itself along with eight other Danish exhibitors at BIOFACH CHINA. On the centrally-positioned stand trade visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the latest organic trends from Denmark. At the same time, the Danish ministry and companies will be involved in the parallel organic congress.
New directory with search function on the BIOFACH CHINA website
In the interests of a more effective trade fair preparation, the China Organic Product Directory, a list of over 1,000 Chinese organic companies and numerous products, was recently launched. The list is intended as a research tool for buyers and suppliers. The search can for example be conducted according to Chinese provinces or product groups.
Fresh impulses in the tried-and-tested support program
On site at BIOFACH CHINA, the trade visitors can look forward to the new “New Product Display Area” special presentation. Here, innovative products and trends from the sectors of organic food, natural cosmetics and eco textiles will be prominently presented. As far as the specialist exchange is concerned, representatives of the exhibiting companies will be present at the special show.
Parallel to BIOFACH CHINA, the “Conference on the International Organic Food Market and Development” congress will be held once again. Here visitors will learn the latest on the international organic market and its development. Experts from the government, certification authorities and organic companies will be delivering papers on current themes and issues, such as for example the political and legal conditions in the Chinese organic market or innovations in the organic sector. The final conference program will be available as of mid-April online on the BIOFACH CHINA website.
China: positive market trend reflected at the fair
China’s growing organic market confirms the healthy development of the trade fair. “A growing number of Chinese consumers are now choosing sustainable, ecologically-produced articles when shopping”, says Tracy Feng. In 2014, the country’s organic turnover was around 4 bn US Dollars, making China the fourth largest organic consumer market in the world. BIOFACH CHINA is, according to Feng, the most significant LOHAS (lifestyles of health and sustainability)-related event in China, and she said they were delighted to be further promoting the concept of the health-conscious, sustainable lifestyle on this platform.
